Key Benefits

  • Convenient and easy to use
AT Profile booklet is a comprehensive checklist with over 300 items in 20 categories, plus over two dozen questions to help you keep track of various behaviors and support at home. The Microsoft® Word file on the AT Profile CD is a snap to use, with text fields for dates and comments and checkboxes for easy entry.

  • Creates a permanent, comprehensive record
AT Profile stores all the information about your students' assistive technology needs. Now all the members of a student's team have the same information, all in one place!

  • Improves communication among team members
The team does not have to start from scratch year after year when communicating about the student, assistive technology trials, and outcomes. AT Profile quickly summarizes information from evaluations in a format that leads to success for the student.

  • Connects with students' IEPs
AT Profile helps the IEP team identify AT tools, track the success of each one, and note the specific settings needed to ensure success. This information can then be incorporated into the student's IEP.

  • Reduces frustration and failure
With AT Profile, students aren't put through unnecessary trials on technologies that have already proven unsuccessful or are set up inappropriately. For example, A child used a word prediction program successfully one year. The next year, another teacher suggested that it was not successful. Why? The word prediction dictionary was set up inappropriately for that learner and the child had too many words to choose from. Using AT Profile would have eliminated the resulting frustration and failure, and the child would have been successful.

  • It's a win-win situation!
Your students win because they don't suffer the consequences when adults fail to communicate. Your team of professionals wins because AT Profile is the perfect tool to provide the necessary communication when many people work with the same student.
