Hallie is an enthusiastic 13-year-old who uses her MiniMerc at home and at school. She had originally used a Gemini for 4-5 years, and now uses a MiniMerc.

She happily uses her MiniMerc to tell her companion, Melissa, about her friends, swimming and horseback riding activities, and trip to the zoo. She also uses it in her local middle school, where she is included in regular education classes.

Hallie's mother tells us, "When we got the MiniMerc, she began to take it out to restaurants. She ordered her lunch successfully on the very first try. That gave me so much confidence as her mom that she can gain the independence that she will need to survive and thrive in her world."
